About Dr. Michael Meighen
Dr. Michael Meighen is a musculoskeletal specialist whom primarily focuses on conservative and non-operative measures to help patients with function and pain control. His treatment plans centers on exercise and functional restoration, but he also incorporates adjunctive options including manipulation, injection therapy, oral medication, acupuncture, massage, etc. to meet the desired goal. He feels as though the patient has to be an active participant in their care and part of the solution for management. Dr. Meighen grew up in Northeast Ohio, instilling him with a strong work ethic and focus, and fostered his passion for exercise and health.
He graduated from the University of Toledo with a BA in Biology. During this time, he spent time studying in Manchester, England which provided him insight into an alternative culture and health care system. He then enrolled at the University of Akron where he completed a year of Master’s studies in Sports Medicine. Michael Patrick Meighen
Michael Patrick Meighen, 38 of Washington, died Thursday, April 25, at home. He was born December 4, to Douglas and Kathy Grable Meighen of Washington. Michael was a graduate of Trinity High School and attended classes at CCAC in recent years. He worked in the oil and gas industry for the past several years, most recently with EMC Energy Services of Waynesburg. Prior to working in the gas and oil business, Michael worked at Lighthouse for Men, and was known to never cut corners; he always listened to his clients and gave the advice that the clients needed without forcing them to think a certain way. In his youth, Michael made a name for himself as the red-haired All-Star Baseball pitcher in the Pony League. He enjoyed video games, Halo and God of War, in particular. He spent his free time exercising with friends at 84 Fitness Center and Cameron Wellness Center. He was an avid fisherman.
