Paritala Ravindra Chowdary was one of the most adored lord of Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. He was elected as M.L.A for five times from Penukonda constituency in Anantapur district. He was slain by his political rivals in because of a vandetta. He was one of the most controversial persons in the history of Andhra Pradesh politics. A report prepared by the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee on Paritala Ravi, a former naxalite, says: "The entire district kneels down before him. Everyone is afraid of him. From , even the political scenario (in Anantapur district) has undergone a change".

Paritala Sriram to Enter Politics

Paritala Sriram, son of the slain TDP leader Paritala Ravindra met the followers at his native village Venkatapuram in Ananthapur district. He interacted with them in connection with preparations for the seventh death anniversary of his father, which falls on 24 January.
Paritala Ravindra's death anniversary is being observed on a grand scale for the past six years by his followers and party cadre at Venkatapuram. This year, a blood donation camp would be organized in the village and mass marriages are also planned. Paritala Ravi's widow and TDP MLA Sunitha stated that Sriram had no interest to get involved in active politics. "My Son has no interest to enter into active politics at this moment. We would proceed, as per Chandrababu's orders," said Paritala Sunitha, addressing the TDP leaders. According to TDP sources in Ananthapur, though Sunitha denied the political debut of Sriram, the reports suggest that arrangements were being made by the Paritala family for the grand entry of Ravi's successor into active politics.
Pawan Kalyan’s Surprise Meeting with Paritala Family
Janasena President Pawan Kalyan who is on his Rayalaseema tour made a surprise visit to Paritala Sunitha&#;s house and stunned everyone. Paritala Sriram came out of the house and accompanied Pawan Kalyan to inside.

Pawan Kalyan was served Rayalaseema Traditional Cuisine, Raagi Mudda and Palli Chutney for the Breakfast. Pawan Kalyan spoke at length to the minister in the private meeting. Later, he told the media that he met Paritala family for a better understanding of the problems of Rayalaseema.
He also mentioned that his motive is to give inclusive feeling to the people of Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema. Pawan Kalyan also met Anantapur MLA, Prabhakar Chowdary. This meeting drew attention especially as there were rumors that Paritala Ravi tonsured the head of Pawan Kalyan a few years ago.
