This album boasts of #1 charted singles and double-platinum success with singles such as “Happy Days”, “Freak Me’, Girl U for Me”, “Lose Control” “It Had to Be You” and “Baby It’s You” that continued to chart at different times over the course of the three years before their next album – to include soundtrack features “I can Go Deep” in the movie “A Low Down Dirty Shame”, "Feel Good" in "Botty Call", ":Cry On" Acapella in "Blankman".
They continued to produce hits such as “Meeting in my Bedroom”, “If You (Lovin’ Me)”, “Don’t Rush” “Hooked on You” “Let’s Make Love” and other great charting tracks on their next two albums, Silk” and “Tonight” while appearing on television and touring throughout this time.

LIL G: It&#;s the first single off of my new album that will be coming in the new year titled G7 No Parole. It&#;s a song that&#;s very old R&B-driven but it&#;s also a Stepper&#;s cut and man, the stepping scene has really taken a whole to this scene. I did a pre-release and it ended up being on the Official Indie Soul Charts for three straight weeks at #2. Gary Jenkins
Gary "Lil G" Jenkins is an American musician. He is the lead singer of the R&B group Silk.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, he is the youngest of seven children.
Jenkinsbegan singing in church at the age of seven, which earned him a role as a featured soloist on BET's The Bobby Jones Gospel Show for many years. By the age of nine, Gary had mastered the guitar after only a few lessons and had self-taught an assortment of keyboards, drums and guitars.
While attending Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, Gary majored in music, with an emphasis in piano and voice. As a member of the prestigious TSU Jazz Collegians, he was selected to accompany Dizzy Gillespie on piano during Gillespie's visit to the school. He also appeared in several opera productions and performed with the Aristocrat of Bands, TSU's marching band program.
