Nima Rumba
Nima Rumba is a singer, songwriter, actor, and musician based in Nepal. He was born in Subarnapur, Nepal. Before he was born, his family migrated to Parsa from Mudhe, a small village in Sindhupalchok. He got married to Sheli Thapa Magar, and they both have two children. Since childhood, Nima wanted to become a very famous artist and had a deep passion for music. After he finished schooling, he joined his brother's friends Rabi, Saroj, and Bire and started singing and playing guitar in their band 'The Bass.' Although he spent about three years with the band, he couldn't gain popularity due to a lack of resources. Later, he joined another band, 'The Peace', with his friend Jyoti Ratna Bajracharya. The band composed its first song, ' Aai Deu Priya', which was recorded at Sanga Recording Studio.
The band became very famous in Nepal, and Nima got his first chance to participate in the Rara Nepali Pop Music Competition in and won 2nd prize. Mr. Anil Sthapit and Him Dai from Harati Cassette Centre were so impressed by his voice that they included his song in their pop collection and released it. The song went viral, and the band started

Nima Rumba is the second son of three, born in Suvarnapur in Nepal on the 26th of May. Even though he enjoyed music, he never thought he would become a singer and songwriter, seeing himself as more of an artist. Sketching pictures and giving them away as gifts, Nima Rumba was certain that art was the direction his life was following, but an encounter with a few of his brother’s musical friends changed his life forever.
In , Nima Rumba embarked on his musical career, joining his brother’s friend in a band they named The Bass. Playing together, with Rumba on lead vocals, at colleges, campuses and anywhere they found an opportunity, he learnt a lot about music, instruments and vocal performances in the almost four years he spent with them. But due to lack of funds and support, the band had gone as far as they could and eventually disbanded. However, another opportunity was waiting for Nima Rumba as he crossed the path of Jyoti Ratna Bajracharaya. Together with a few other members they formed the band The Peace and finally, after writing the song “Aai Deu Priya”, they got the chance to record their very first song.
