Tiger Woods News: Golfer’s Biopic in Development
Tiger Woods is getting the movie treatment. An upcoming biopic about the golfer’s storied career is currently being developed by Amazon MGM Studios.
Based on Kevin Cook’s biography The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played, the film will reportedly focus on his early victories on the green, notably the four major consecutive championships he won in and
The scandals that plagued Woods’ career won’t be featured, nor will his numerous comebacks and injuries, the latest of which has resulted in a ruptured Achilles tendon. The year-old underwent surgery in early March and is now in recovery, but the injury will likely prevent him from playing in the Masters Tournament in April.
The biopic doesn’t yet have a title or release date, but Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground is currently in talks to produce the film, along with Rocky producer Irwin Winkler.
