Artist Bio:Vadim Zakharov was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and graduated from the Moscow State Teachers Training Institute. He is an artist, editor, collector, and archivist of Moscow’s conceptual art scene. Zakharov’s work can be compared to a labyrinth; it branches out into a multitude of details, so that in the end, the spectator does not feel that he is in a park or an archive, but in a jungle of ideas. At the same time, the ephemeral and irrational quality of many of Zakharov’s pieces and projects is grounded by the archive he has collected. It includes photo and video documentations of exhibitions, encounters, appearances of contemporary artists and poets in the West, and documents of Zakharov’s own multifaceted activities as a publisher. Vadim Zakharov – Biography and CV

Vadim Zakharov was born in Duschanbe in He is an artist, editor, archivist of the Moscow Conceptual art scene, collector. Since he has participated in exhibitions of unofficial art and collaborated with such artists as: s, ev, yrski, man.
In – he participated in the AptArt Gallery, Moscow. Since he has published the Pastor magazine and founded the Pastor Zond Edition. In he edited the book Moscow Conceptualism. In he founded the website His retrospective 25 Years on One Page was held at the Tretjakov Gallery in He represented Russia at the Venice Biennale in with the project Danaë.
He lives and works in Berlin.

Biography

Vadim Zakharov was born in Dushanbe in He was graduated from the Moscow State Teachers Training Institute. He is an artist, archivist of Moscow Conceptual art scene, collector. Since he has been participating in exhibitions of unofficial art and worked in collaboration with Igor Luts, Victor Skersis (SZ group), Sergey Anufriev and others. In – he was a participant of the AptArt Gallery. Since he has been the publisher of the Pastor magazine and founder of Pastor Zond Edition. Vadim Zakharov has participated in the 49th Venice Biennale, 1st Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, numerous exhibitions in Russian and abroad. In he presented Danaë installation – Russian pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale. He lives and works in Berlin and Moscow.
